    Los Angeles Engagement Photography: Stefany + Harold @ Griffith Park Observatory

    Stefany and Harold met on Facebook and are getting married in two weeks. Social networking works! Stefany is from the Phili and permanently relocated to unite with her soul mate in Los Angeles. I’ve seen it happen time and time again. We used the following engagement photos to create a guest book that will be displayed at the entrance of their reception on their wedding day.

    Make your wedding a fairy tale by having your wedding ceremony and reception at Yamashiro Restaurant up on the top of the hill overlooking the Los Angeles cityscape. The asian themed Japanese restaurant is full of details imported overseas to create such a wonderful backdrop for photos. Learn more about the venue by visiting Yamashiro Restaurant on Yelp! Take a drive up there in the evening  right before sunset and you’ll see what what I’m talking about. Enjoy a few cocktails while you wait to be seated as it can get packed on the weekends.

    The Getty Center in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California is one of two locations created by J. Paul Getty Museum. The museum is an amazing place full of artwork, contemporary architecture, spectacular outdoor gardens, and a breathtaking view of Los Angeles from atop. Events are held there weekly and it’s free to visit. It is the perfect place for engagement photography and a great spot for weddings if you’re one of the lucky few to claim your date.

    This place is a great little spot for small to medium sized weddings. The lobby area looks like you just walked into a resort. The inside is full of natural light for the day time and there’s a little gazebo outdoors to get married at. There is a lake right behind this venue that separates this venue from the golf course. The green areas are well maintained and actually green and the staff was helpful during my photography session there. The little room that they let the bride use was barely enough room for me, the makeup artist, and the bride. There isn’t much shade outdoors for guests as they watch the ceremony, however if you keep short, sweet and simple, you should not have a problem.

    Locations: Art District in Los Angeles, California

    Take a drive over to the Los Angeles Art District, where you’ll find large murals on the streets of Los Angeles painted right on the buildings of warehouses, parking lots and apartment buildings.  The colors are amazing and it’s as abstract as you’ll get.     There isn’t a specific address for this since the wall murals are seen for blocks, but a good starting point is the Wurstkuche restaurant where they serve all types of sausages and a full line of foreign beers.

    The Castle Green in Pasadena was built in 1898 and is a unique and historical part of Pasadena. They work with 4 different caterers or you can choose your own, but they charge more for that. They’ll also allow you to bring your own alcohol for a fee. The building is surrounded by gardens, a bridge, koi ponds while the inside features Moorish and Spanish style salon and grand ballroom. Check out this place for that lavish vintage and grandeur look for your next wedding.
